Dinner with Captain Thunderball Pt. 3

So the scenes between part 2 and 3 were skipped in favor of getting to the actiony bits. After hearing the origin story of our cranially challenged captain, Scarlett makes fun of him. The Captain drops all formality and begins trying to force information out of Scar regarding half of a map she owns. Scar refuses to give up her map and she is then attacked by the Captain's unusual combat style.

Dr. Sketchy 26 Hour Marathon

I went to the 26 hour Dr. Sketchy marathon this weekend. I was able to make it through 21 of the 26 hours but had to go home to sleep when my vision got too blurry. I met some interesting people and saw a lot of great artists in action. I won 2 prizes for my drawings, a Titmouse Smashing Party T-Shirt and a pin-up calendar of Mosh. These are by no means all the drawings but they are my favorites and ones the models liked.

This is the drawing that won me a calendar.

One of these made me eligible to win a poster but I had won too many priz-zizes.

It is uncommon knowledge that, during her reign, Cinderella's new found luxury led her down the path of many sadistic proclivities. Cinderella proceeded to commission a large number of torture devices she had designed in order to exterminate her dissenters. This was what led to the invention of the guillotine which coincidentally was used on Cinderella 4 and a half years later during the early days of the French Revolution.

Today was Diddy-Kins birthday so we went to the zoo. I drew animals at the zoo. Did you see them? They should be a wee bit north on Y Axis of this sentence. Snakes are really really REALLY easy to draw. I could teach you how. Leave a comment if you want me to discuss how to draw a snake.

Snow Woman character design process

This is a sketch of a Snow Woman Character design I've been working on. I'm still experimenting with her but thought I'd post my thoughts so far.

Her story is that she was born with the ability to turn anything she touches into ice. Her mother was frozen to death by this power when our snow woman was born. Ever since that day her father has kept her locked inside their mansion. Below I've included images of my design process and some photos I took to use as reference in designing her clothes.

I was trying to find a balance between making her beautiful and making her feel heavy. The snow woman hates her power, it keeps her from experiencing life. I noticed that pine trees in winter stand tall but are weighed down by the snow. I made her shoulders look like pine branches covered in snow to make her shoulders look heavy. I also frosted the bottom of her robe to look like a trunk buried in snow. I thought that texture would look interesting and help show she is buried by her power.
