This is Scarlett when she was young. After having her hand bitten off by a whale Scarlett became depressed by her handicap. After reading about pirates in her books she became inspired by their bravery despite their missing appendages.

Pirate Pajama Party!!!

This is what the Pirates wear to bed. I thought this would be a good character design assignment because it really forces you to think more about their personalities. What we wear to bed represents us almost more accurately then what we wear in everyday life.

Cynthia the Swamp Witch

Cynthia has always lived a life of seclusion, never venturing too far from her home, an abandoned train station deep in a swamp. With green skin she was never exposed to other people except for her grandmother who taught her all the magic (Magjicks) she knows. After her grandmother died she lived alone until she met an orphaned baby gator who instantly bonded with Cynthia and thinks of her as his mother (due to their shared green skin). Cynthia named the gator Gilbert Gilly, after his "cute little gils" (which are actually his scales). Now the two are thick as thieves as they live a life of chaotic magic mishaps.

Winona Montgomery

Winona Montgomery is a time traveling thief from the Wild West. After leaping from time period to time period her crime spree is finally brought to an end and she finds herself trapped in prehistoric times.



So I decided to redo one of my favorite Character Design assignments: One woman from the wild west in different time periods. I redid it based on the critique I received in class. Below is a link to the first project for comparison.

Scarlett Fitzgerald, the self- proclaimed Pirate Queen

A fierce and courageous pirate, Scarlett will do anything in the pursuit of treasure. Although not nearly as cunning as she'd like to believe, Scarlett has been known from time to time to devise many hair-brained schemes that actually work. Scarlett is almost never seen without her first-mate and beloved teddy bear, Dingo, whom she views as a sage-like, fountain of wisdom. With this duo at the helm of The Gilded Lady will any of the colonies be spared?

Now she uses her power to promote decency in the world by thwarting Nazis and cutting a gigantic rug with the Charleston.
